Wikibase extension?

Kghbln, what exactly distinguishes a Wikibase extension from a MediaWiki extension? Isn't Wikibase itself a (series of) MediaWiki extension(s)? Would it be accurate to say a Wikibase extension is a subclass of MediaWiki extension that has either Wikibase Repository or Wikibase Client as a requirement? Harej (talk) 15:09, 11 July 2023 (UTC)

Yes, this would be accurate, though I believe Wikibase Repository is the hard requirement for a Wikibase extension. Wikibase Client is optional. --Kghbln (talk) 16:40, 11 July 2023 (UTC)
